Please be informed that there is water shutdown in Maseru from 09.01.18.
This is due to the ongoing cleaning of service reservoirs, done in an effort to eliminate the bloodworms that have infiltrated the water supply infrastructure in some parts of the capital city.
Most areas of the capital are expected to experience water shortages during this time, but customers are encouraged to store enough water when it is available.
However areas that are serviced from the Maseru Water Supply and Tikoe Thetsane water treatment plants will not be affected by these service disruptions. These include; Thetsane, Khubetsoana, Selakhapane, parts of Maseru East, Sea Point, Temong and Moshoeshoe 2. Other areas like Lithabaneng, Matala, Abia and Masianokeng will also not experience water shortages yet. But as the cleaning continues they will be affected, but customers will be informed in due course.
WASCO regrets the inconvenience to be caused by these disruptions.
