Water Connection Process

Step1
a) Visit any of the customer care offices of WASCO in Lesotho and inform them about your request to apply for a new water connection.
b) The staff at the customer care offices shall establish whether the area you stay in is reticulated by asking you some questions, for example, whether your immediate neighbours have water connections.

Step2
a) If your site is in a reticulated area, you will have to pay M50.00 in order for a survey to be done. The survey is done to establish the distance of your site from the main water pipe. The maximum distance allowed to draw water from the main water pipe is 150 meters.
b) If the survey indicates that your site is within 150 meters, a quotation will be prepared immediately through GIS or within two weeks six working days and you will be informed to collect it when it is ready.

Step3
You will be expected to pay the quoted amount in order for a connection to be done.
The quoted amount shall be paid in full and a connection must be made within 10 working days where the existing infrastructure is within 150m;

Water Supply Connection Fees:
1-25 meters- M1500
26-50 meters – M2500
51-100 meters- M3500
101-150 meters – M4500

Please note that a security deposit if M75 shall also be paid.
