The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Water and Sewerage Company (WASCO) Mr. Falla Seboko, oversaw the commencement of works aimed at providing supply to the high-lying area at Maseru East where about fourteen (14) households have not had access to potable water since 2014.
A community member Gaositwe Mapola says they have made endless efforts for WASCO to install a pipeline for supply of water since 2014, and they are now thankful that the current leadership of WASCO made efforts within a period of three months, to respond to their long outcry. Mrs Mapola revealed that their survival requires a lot of money, as they relied on buying water with funds they could have used to pay their bills.
A Member of Parliament (MP) for Stadium Area Constituency Honourable ‘Mampho Tjabane who attended the event applauded WASCO CEO for working tirelessly to ensure supply of water to the area.
Mr. Seboko stated that his experience in WASCO operations has made it easy for him to address and overcome challenges in the areas of supply. This is just part of activities achieved within a four months period of his tenure in office. With this momentum, WASCO will achieve its mandate.
