Health and Safety measures at workplace are priorities in reducing the number of workplace fatalities and the well-being of employees. WASCO has reported zero fatal accidents during operations in the period 2015 to 2024. This is commendable considering the Company’s nature of work.
This according to the Health and Safety Officer Mr. Kopano Molefi is attributed to the provision of staff training to ensure adherence to health and safety procedures that are to be in place when carrying out the high-risk jobs. He further indicated that, the Company has developed an emergency preparedness plan specific for onsite maintenance. Provision of protective equipment (PPE) to carry carryout specific tasks is also top of the drawer.
WASCO has renewed its commitment to occupational health and safety. The company continually improves and innovates around health and safety and is excited for fatality free operations going into the future.
